I was playing around with makeup the other day and I forgot that I had two of the Makeup Geek Sparklers and I wanted to do a look with the shade Solar Flare, a stunning peach fine glitter…so here it is. Links to where I bought all of the products used will also be listed at the end of the post in case anyone is interested.
So these are the majority of the products I used; I forgot the mascara and the lashes. I’ve given a brief breakdown of how the look was created followed by how the final outcome.
First I applied the MAC paint pot in Painterly to erase any discolouration and provide a clean base. I then used the Kat von D Lock it translucent powder to set the lid.
I then went in with the Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Frappe and applied this into the crease as well as taking it into the inner corner, focusing most of the product here. On top of this I applied the KIKO eyeshadow in 44-Matte Sienna on top of Frappe, but focusing only in the inner corner and blended it gently outwards.
Now for the fun part. Firstly I applied a base for the glitter to hold on to. I was out of my glitter glue so I used the MAC mixing medium instead. I patted this on into the inner corner, from the tear duct to just under the brow bone. I wanted the glitter to really pop in the whole of the inner part of the eye, not just around the tear duct area. Then I used a synthetic brush to pat on the glitter, focusing the most of the product in the inner most part of the eye so it fades to nothing at the outer part of the eye.
I then used a black liquid liner to create a wing and then the NYX Vivid Brights liner in Sapphire to add a pop of colour of the outer part of the wing itself. After this I applied mascara to prepare my lashes for falsies. For the brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in dark brown and used the Benefit Ready, Set, Brow to set them in place.
Finally I applied the Huda Beauty mink lashed in the style Naomi to finish the look off.
And here’s the final look. I hope you love it as much as I do. It was just something different I wanted to try. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
